Non Return Valve

Showing the single result

Non return valve is widely used in the fire protection field. Often connection is through the flange and is easy to install. In additional, Rated pressures is up to 200 psi, 350 psi, etc. Specially, the valve is designed for ground installation and uses of it is for fire sprinkler system. At the same time, installation of the valve stem and nut is outside the valve body to identify whether the valve is in the open or closed position.

What difference between Check type and Non Return type?

Check Valves – This type of valve has a bonnet that moves freely vertically upward. At the same time it’s with the stem in the groove at the bottom (inlet side) of the valve. Its outlet flow can be controlled by the valve stem, which determines the lift of the valve from the valve seat. The valve does not allow reverse flow.

Non Return Valves – Depending on the inlet pressure of the fluid, this type of valve has a fully open or fully closed position. There is no spindle to control the outlet flow/pressure through it. The valve also does not allow reverse flow.

Common ground for different valves system

Similar points are among one-way valve, check valves and non-return valves. These are valves that generally allow fluid to flow in only one direction and prevent backflow.

How non return valve work?

The non return valves allow the medium to flow in only one direction. And its installation’s purpose is to ensure that the medium flows through the pipeline in the correct direction. Otherwise the pressure conditions may cause reverse flow. Additionally, the flow through the non return or check valve will cause a relatively large pressure drop. It must be taken into account when designing the system.
